Victorian Branch Formed

    Great News for all of our members in Victoria !!! 

Finally, we have our first official branch of the Australorp Club of Australia.

    The branch is headed by Kevin Collins in the Chair as President, with Tina McConnachie as Vice-President and Darren Macfarlane as Secretary.   

    Called the Australorp Club Victoria, they are an official Sub-branch of the National body. Their joining fee is just $5.00 and this branch was formed at the Warragul Poultry Show on Sunday 15th July 2007.

    Even better news is that they plan to hold the Victorian Australorp Championships arew to be held on Saturday, 5th July 2008 in conjunction with another large show. In the May 2008 issue of the the club's great newsletter, the "Australorp EggSpress" we will bring you details of their show, and in this website we will add some pictures of their members and fowls.

    Kevin, Tina and Darren have always been fantastic supporters of the Australorp club and the breed, and to form a branch  just exciting news for the breed. Darren, in particular, has really supported the club's newsletter with results and photographs.

    We hope that similar groups in other states will follow Victoria’s lead and this will made the club a truly National entity. 

To join the Victorian Branch, you must also be a financial of the national body, the Australorp Club of Australia Inc.
